  • MAC Center Volleyball (Girls 3rd, 4th, 5th Grade)

    Season: The volleyball games will be held in Fort Dodge with the first game on September 14th. The first practice will be on Tuesday, September 3rd at the MNW High School Gym and will go from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The rest of the practices will be held on Mondays from September 9th through October 7th.

    Registration Fee: The cost will be $50 and that includes the price of the shirt. In order to guarantee a shirt, registrations have to be in by August 2nd. NO REFUNDS.

    Season: The game season will run from August 17th through September 21st. All games will be held on Saturday mornings at the Fort Frenzy fields in Fort Dodge. The first practice will be on August 1st at 5:30 PM. Practices will be held at the north field of the MAC Center. Parents will receive an e-mail or text from the coaches when practices will be held.

    Registration Fee: The cost will be $50 for 1st and 2nd graders and that includes the price of the shirt. In order to guarantee a shirt, registrations have to be in by July 22nd. NO REFUNDS.

    MACC Baseball (Boys completing 3rd - 6th Grade): Manson teams will merge again this year with the Fort Dodge Rec Center. Manson teams will practice in Manson by all games will be played at Harlan Rogers Field in Fort Dodge. All communication will come from the coaches on practice and game times. Protective cup is recommended.

    Season: We do not have game dates and times right now but will update the parents once we are notified. There will be no gate fee for these games.

    Deadline for registration is April 26th. Absolutely no late registrations accepted due to t-shirt order and no refunds.

    MACC Softball (Girls completing 3rd - 5th Grade): Manson girls will merge again this year with the Fort Dodge Rec Center.     2019 Coed T-Ball - TK to 2nd Grade

    For boy and girls grades Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. All practices will be in Manson and games will be held in Manson and surrounding communities with program emphasis on skills.

    First practice is Monday, May 20th. Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.

    Deadline for registration is April 26th. Absolutely no late registrations accepted due to t-shirt order and no refunds.


    2019 Youth Soccer - TK to 8th Grade

    For boy and girls grades Kindergarten through 8th. We will teach basic fundamentals and also provide quality competition.

    First practice is Monday, March 25th. Practices will be Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

    Deadline for registration is March 11th. Absolutely no late registrations accepted due to t-shirt order.

    Yoga

     Foundations of Yoga: This class is a slow paced class suitable for beginners or those who want additional assistance in beginning yoga postures. Students will learn the most common yoga postures. The focus is on strengthening the core along with learning correct posture alignment, and breath.

    Yoga Flow: This class focuses on Vinyasa style yoga (connecting breath to movement) and builds heat, strength and flexibility. Modifications are encouraged as needed. Previous yoga experience is recommended but not required.

    Gentle/Chair Yoga: This class is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support or balance. It is a great practice for everyone, as it deepens flexibility, range of motion, and strengthens the core and personal body awareness. Complicated maneuvers and complex movements are not present in a chair yoga class. Within this yoga class, standing, seated, and prone postures will be taught with additional work on strengthening the core.

    Power Sculpt Yoga: This class is a unique combination of power yoga, core training, and cardio. It is an upbeat class designed to use light weights (1-3 lbs) to strengthen your yoga practice, keep our heart healthy, and burn calories. The yoga postures are typically similar to a beginner-level class with the addition of weighted exercises. Power sculpt targets all muscle groups in the body to help you look great and feel your best. Modifications are encouraged as needed. Encouraged to bring your own light weights.

    Candlelight Yoga: This class is suitable for all levels. No complicated poses are presented. It is held in a darkened room with candlelight being the main source of light. It is a relaxing class in which the focus is connecting mind, body, and breath.

    Introduction to Meditation: Meditation teaches how to manage stress; reducing stress in turn enhances overall physical health and emotional well-being. This class introduces simple techniques and tools to begin a meditation practice. Students learn a about meditation, focusing on concentration and relaxation and then have a chance to practice during each class.

    Personal Training

    This is a customized training program based on your current level of health and fitness. We offer a program that includes initial assessment, instruction on weight selection and proper form, customized training program and tracking log to track your progress.

    · Initial assessment, initial exercise instruction and training program $100

    · Initial assessment, initial exercise instruction and program + 2 additional training sessions (45 mins) $180

    · Initial assessment, initial exercise instruction and program + 4 additional training sessions (45 mins) $260

    MacCore

    Exercise Basics:

    · Strengthen your core from your hips to your shoulders beyond situps and crunches

    · Learn how to perform core and bodyweight exercises in a safe and effective way

    · Learn how to modify exercises to make them safer and easier for you

    · Mobilize stiff joints and loosen tight muscles

    Beginning Core class - This classes focuses on the basics from learning better breathing to learning how to move without hurting your knees and low back. This class meets twice per week for 6 weeks or one night for 6 weeks. Cost is $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers or $30 and $37 in the evening.

    Class meets Mondays and Thursday at 9:15AM or 1:15 PM / Tuesdays after 5 PM depending on participants work schedule.

    Advanced core class – Once you or your group understand the basics and are ready for more. This class continues with the same basic concepts and expands to include more advanced mobility, bodyweight exercises and core strengthening. This class meets twice per week for 6 weeks. Cost is $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers or $30 and $37 in the evening.

    Class meets Mondays and Thursday at 8:15 AM or 9:15 AM / Tuesday after 5 PM.

    The MACCenter is committed to helping everyone get into better shape regardless of fitness level and ability. Call if you have any questions. A free introductory Core or Fit class is available upon request. Come by yourself or with a group if you are unsure which class is the best fit for you or your group.

    Every class must have at least 6 participants.

    Call the front desk and leave your name, number and time of day that you are available – let us know if you have a request for a certain time.


    MacFit

    For those who have been through MacCore or are just simply ready for more advanced exercises from the start. These classes are total body training using bodyweight, bands, kettlebells, dumbbells and barbells.

    · Learn to maintain good posture and core control through more advanced exercises

    · Build better strength and mobility using weight or more exercises

    · Improve conditioning of heart and lungs by going through a series of movements

    Beginning – This class focuses on progressing each member from bodyweight squats to bands and TRX straps to kettlebells. Simple movements that allow for safety while learning and yet enough challenge to improve. This class meets twice per week for 6 weeks. Cost is $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers.

    Classes meet Monday and Thursday at 8:15 AM on weight deck.

    Intermediate – The only real changes are in the difficulty of exercises and the focus shifts more to fat loss and muscle tone and less on learning technique and control as this has already been established. This class meets twice per week for 6 weeks. Cost is $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers.

    Advanced - Every class is designed to use kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells and more advanced bodyweight exercises. The same concepts just with higher intensity. This class meets twice per week for 6 weeks. Cost is $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers.
